I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
